What does M(W) Stand for?

“Aim Up Souljas” represents resilience, ambition, and purpose.
‘Aim Up’ means always striving higher, I’m always trying to win, no matter what I’m doing. The name is often shortened to “MWS,” which stands for Aim (M), Up (W), Souljas (S). Saying “Aim” with a French accent sounds like “M,” and I included that on purpose, French is my first language, and I wanted that heritage to be part of the MW's identity.

Originally, MW started as a gaming “clan”. Gaming’s been a big part of my life, and in most games, the W key is how you move forward or go up, so that's why I used ‘W’ to stand for “Up.” ‘Souljas’ means soldiers, soldiers are people who keep pushing forward no matter what, and fight for something. Everybody is a soldier in some way.

The brand was first called “Murder World Souljas,” meaning no matter what we did we tried our bests and tried “killing it” but I thought it didn’t represent us too well, and could easily be misinterpreted, so I wanted to rebrand and “Aim Up Souljas” was a better fit, it made complete sense.

“Aim Up Souljas” was not a rebranding, it was more of a revelation. It is the clearer, truer expression of M(W)
